Supporters Club

About Us

So, what does the Supporters Club do?

We are proud to have organised transport to every away game last season, whether it was the three coaches to York or a minibus to watch Boro play at Exeter. We'd love to take a coach to every game, and will do so wherever possible, but the demand is not yet there for every match. We run transport on a non-profit making basis, and are pleased to do it at such low prices.

We raise money for the club. We run a raffle at every home match, and we ran a big raffle at a charity match at the McCain in the Summer. We run Race Nights. We run prediction competitions. We produce and sell merchandise. There are also special "one-offs" such as sponsored walks or the 24-Hour Challenge. We sell Christmas cards and other goods. We'll do (almost) anything to raise money for our football team! We also produce match posters and make them available to various shops, pubs and other outlets.

The money we raise is passed on to the club, although we have donated small amounts of money to St Catherine's Hospice and other charities. We have paid amounts towards players' medical operations and recuperation, we have sponsored Boro's matches and sponsored players' kit. We've put a large-screen TV in the McCain Lounge, we've bought an ice machine and other equipmentfor the physio, and we've provided training items for the team.

We've recently set up a Junior Supporters Club - the Seakidz Klub - and we financed a book to celebrate Boro's 125th anniversary. We run a goal sponsorship scheme in the Boro Review. Members of the Supporters Club committee man the turnstiles at the McCain Stadium on matchdays (and consequently miss the first few minutes of every match!)

As you can see, we're very busy but we're pleased to do it for the Boro.
